An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This issue restricts users from running the default MadgeTech USB installer, even if the user has administrative privileges.\u00a0 MadgeTech is working on a seamless, permanent solution, but until this can be implemented a temporary workaround has been created that does not require changing UAC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To install the MadgeTech USB drivers without changing User Access Control settings:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Obtain the updated MadgeTech USB driver folder. The best method to obtain this folder will depend on which version of MadgeTech 4 is currently installed on the PC being updated. To determine the software version, check File-Options-About in MadgeTech 4.\n<ul>\n<li>For MadgeTech 4 versions\u00a0<strong>4.2.18.0 or later<\/strong>, than drivers can be found in\u00a0<em>C:Program Files (x86)MadgeTechMadgeTech 4Drivers<\/em><\/li>\n<li>For MadgeTech 4 versions\u00a0<strong>4.2.17.1 or earlier<\/strong>, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.madgetech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/USB_Drivers_run_bat.zip\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this link<\/a>\u00a0to download the USB driver folder. By default, the folder will be downloaded to \u201c<em>C:UsersYour_User_NameDownloads\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Navigate to this folder, right click on it, and select \u201cExtract All.\u201d Use the extracted folder for the remaining steps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Open the folder from step 1, right-click on the \u201cRun.bat\u201d file and select \u201cRun as administrator.\u201d<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">The\u201dWindows Protected your PC\u201d message may appear. If so, click on \u201cMore Info\u201d link. A new button will appear at the bottom of this Window that says \u201cRun Anyway.\u201d Click the \u201cRun Anyway\u201d button.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">The normal installation procedure will begin.
